Building a Personal Brand with Confidence: A Half-Day Shoot with Emmelia Powell
When Emmelia got in touch about booking a personal branding shoot, I knew this was going to be something special!
Emmelia is a financial advisor and also happens to be married to a Premier League footballer — but more importantly, she’s a woman with big goals and a strong sense of self.
She wanted to build a personal brand that felt professional and polished but still true to who she is — and that’s exactly what we created together during our half-day shoot in Cheshire.

This wasn’t about taking a few headshots for LinkedIn. Emmelia had a clear intention: to strengthen her online presence and start attracting her dream clients.
She wanted photos that would give her confidence and help her stand out — both in the financial space and in the Cheshire business scene.

Having a PR and content expert involved made the whole experience feel super strategic without being overwhelming. It also meant that everything we captured had purpose — whether it was for Instagram, her website, or PR features down the line.
Outfits That Spoke for Themselves
I always say that outfits are one of the most powerful tools in a branding shoot — and Emmelia completely nailed it!
She brought a selection of looks that felt like her: chic neutrals, clean silhouettes, and thoughtful details that added a layer of polish without feeling too formal. Each outfit told a different part of her story — from “confident in the boardroom” to “relaxed and relatable on the weekend.”
Honestly, the way you dress really does impact how you feel in front of the camera, and Emmelia looked (and felt) amazing in every look.
A Location That Set the Scene
We chose a modern, ultra-luxe, light-filled location that gave us variety — soft textures, great natural light, and different spaces to play with. The right location makes such a difference when you're building a brand. It’s not just a backdrop — it’s part of your story.
In Emmelia’s case, we wanted a space that felt elevated but not intimidating, with room to show off her different sides. Cheshire has some beautiful spots for this kind of shoot, and this one hit all the right notes.

By the end of the shoot, we had a full bank of content that Emmelia could start using straight away — images that reflect where she’s headed and how she wants to be seen.
